More From Andrew Ng
Document intelligence is a key building block, among others.
AI can now process unstructured information in a way not possible 2 years ago. So the value of getting that data out of documents is now massively greater. It is a key building block that will be used alongside many others such general-purpose LLMs, RAG and so on. (Andrew Ng, Forbes)
I think the single most valuable form of unstructured data that is sitting in all of our businesses is PDF files.
There are so many of them. I'm really excited about the work that's being done on agentic document extraction to take massive PDF files in finance and healthcare that have tons of value and extract it out. (Snowflake Build panel, via TechTarget)
